UC Kids and family ministries
Welcome to UC Kids and Family Ministries!
The UC Kids and Family Ministry goal is to give children and their Families the proper tools in a safe, nurturing and fun space to build a relationship with God and others. Those tools include Biblical knowledge, Prayer, Worship, and Community.
The UC Kids and Family Ministries has a Nursery available during our 10:30 Worship service. We meet at 9:30 on Sunday mornings for UC Kid Zone. We also meet at 6:30 on Wednesday evenings for our UC Kids Arts program.
Outside of the Director of Children and Family Ministries, the Nursery Coordinator and Nursery Staff, all of our UC Kids and Family team are volunteer members. We serve because we know how important it is to build a strong foundation when you are young. The UC Kids Serve team consists of both youth and adults as well as male and female leaders that have all gone through our Safe Sanctuary Policy Training. The adults that serve also submit to a background check before they lead in the UC Kids Ministry.

UC Kids Nursery
The nursery at UCUMC is open to any child from birth through Kindergarten during our 10:30 Worship Service and for children birth to 3 years old during the UCUMC education hour at 9:30. The youngest of our UC Kids are cared for by highly trained paid staff. During your child's time in the nursery on a Sunday morning they will have free play, an age appropriate lesson, and a snack from our allergy approved list. You can feel comfortable during your time at UCUMC knowing that your little one is being well cared for in the our UC Kids Nursery.
Nursery childwatch is available for ministries of UCUMC outside of Sunday morning Worship by filling out the Childcare Request Form found here.
UC Kids Zone
UC Kids Zone is our children’s Sunday School Programming at UCUMC. UC Kids Zone happens from 9:30-10:25 every Sunday morning. This Sunday morning program is open to 4 year olds through 5th grade. During UC Kids Zone we begin together in The Big Orange room of our Disciple Center, after our large group lesson we break out into age level groups for free play and/or games, as well as an age level lesson for our UC Kids. UC Kids will be led to the Cafe in the Worship Center by our adult and youth volunteers for dismissal to their adults.
UC Kids Events
Throughout the year we have events that are specifically for the UC Kids and Family Ministry, as well as events that welcome the community to join in. UC Kids and Family Events include things like Fire Pit and Prayer Walk Night, Ice Cream Social, Family Camping Trips, and Family Jam VBS during the summer.
