Mom’s TIME Out is an outreach ministry of University City United Methodist Church (UCUMC) in Charlotte, NC. The Christian foundation of Mom’s TIME Out is consistent with UCUMC’s mission and beliefs. Women of all ages are welcome to participate in Mom’s TIME Out.
Each Mom’s TIME Out group consists of 5 to 15 moms from the University Area. Groups meet throughout the year for fellowship, Bible or book study, mission projects, and prayer. There are also special events throughout the year such as Christmas Event, Baby Shower, Mom's Night Out, and Weekend Retreat. In Fall 2009 - Spring 2010 over 150 moms participated in Mom's TIME Out.
There are many opportunities to join a Mom’s TIME Out group. Each group is different in the day/time it meets, what the moms have in common, and the study topic/format. Groups meet weekly or bi-monthly during the school year on weekday mornings, afternoons, or evenings. Most groups meet at UCUMC. Childcare is available for most groups at a small cost. Space in groups and childcare is limited.

UCUMC's 1st Annual Baby Shower on March 21 was a great success! Over 30 women attended and had a great time playing baby shower games, eating delicious food, and spending time in fellowship with other women.
Thanks to all who donated gifts - there were 2 large tables overflowing! All gifts were donated to Lois' Lodge, a non-profit organization in Charlotte whose mission is to provide a safe and healthy place for young women facing the challenges of a crisis pregnancy. Several representatives from Lois' Lodge attended the event and shared about their ministry.
Look for more details in early 2011 for the 2nd Annual Baby Shower!
