Finding Us
Enter the church parking lot from either Brookstone Drive or WT Harris Boulevard and you will find signs directing you to the Guest parking, located in the Upper parking lot.  If you are looking for a meeting, or the adult Sunday school classrooms you will want to park in the Lower paring lot and walk into the Church Office entrance. If you are looking for youth or children Sunday school classrooms, you will want to park in the Lower parking lot, closest to the Disciple Center and enter that building.

While we believe there are many unique things about UCUMC, we hope you will find our warm, welcoming
attitude towards our guests sets us apart.  Many of us remember how it felt to be a newcomer to church, and we want to make your time with us comfortable and inviting.  Our hope is that you will know that you are always welcome here just as you are, whether you have been away from church for a while, or never affiliated with any church. Whether you're married, single, divorced, or in transition, you truly matter to us because you matter to God. We would be honored to have you become a part of University City United Methodist Church!

Once you enter the church parking lot from either Brookstone Drive or WT Harris Boulevard, you will find Guest reserved parking in the upper level parking lot, closest to the front doors of the Worship Center.  Lower level parking leads to the Adult Sunday school classrooms (Lower Level Worship Center) and Children and Youth Sunday school classrooms (Disciple Center).  CLICK HERE for campus map.

Upon entering the building, you will notice our Guest Information kiosk and smiling Greeters ready to say hello and help you find your way around the church campus.  We will gladly walk with you to show you where you may need to go on campus. Visit the Guest Café  designed just for you, our guests!

MISSIONS

missions-focused_withouttext_rgb-02.jpg

At University City UMC, missions is important to us – we want to help make disciples that transform the world! Through a biblical foundation for Christian service; a balance of local, regional, and international mission opportunities; and an emphasis on hands-on support, our missions team seeks to maximize the positive impact to God’s Kingdom and to see lives transformed.

Check out our Missions Policy to see how UCUMC Missions Committee makes decisions on how to allocate their resources.

Through our partnership with the Harbor Light Southern Baptist Church in Oceana, WV we have the opportunity to help children of low-income families in this small town in Appalachia. Each year this church provides a holiday meal for these families with our assistance. This is an opportunity for our congregation to send our love to the town of Oceana between short-term mission teams which visit each summer. To learn more about this ministry, please stop by the connecting center on Sunday or email Lindsay Gallegly at lgallegly@ucumc.org or Lee Zeigler at lzeigler@ucumc.org.

In October 2015, UCUMC hosted our first REACH missions event with the hope to enlarge the local, regional, and global missions vision of UCUMC. We want to help the congregation find their place in missions whether it be committing to pray for specific needs of missionaries and agencies, serving with local Charlotte missions, being a part of short-term mission trips, financially supporting missionaries or agencies, or beginning a life of full-time missions locally, regionally, or internationally.

The Outreach Committee - meets the third Tuesday of each month

Do you want to see life transformation first hand? Do you want to make a difference in lives locally, regionally, and internationally? We need your help on the UCUMC Missions Team! Join us for our monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm in Room 109 (LL Worship Center). As part of the missions committee you will help  provide vision, planning, guidance, administration, organization, and structure for missions ministry work coming from and supported by UCUMC’s church family. Contact Lindsay Gallegly at lgallegly@ucumc.org if you need more information or are interested in committing to the next missions team meeting.
