What is a Short-term Group?
A Short-term Group gives a boost to our ability to Live In Faith Everyday. Short-term groups meet anywhere from once a week to 12 weeks depending on the study.Short-term Groups are led by a trained facilitator, range in size from six to 14 people and last from one to one-and-a-half hours. They encourage the application of Biblical principles and to enhance our relationship with Jesus Christ through an emphasis on study, fellowship, service and connection.
What do Short-term Groups DO?
Short-term Groups span Bible studies to topics in Christian living to history and evangelism. A different selection of classes is offered each fall, winter and summer so that UCUMC members or people in the community can have a continual choice of studies to enrich their Christian walk.
When and Where do Short-term Groups meet?
Groups meet on various days and nights, generally at UCUMC, but also homes throughout the community. For groups meeting at UCUMC on Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings, childcare may be provided. Ask your group leader for more information about childcare
