Council for Children’s Rights (Samaria)
20 Days until REACH 2015. Today’s featured agency is the Council for Children’s Rights. (Samaria - underserved people and communities)
Council for Children’s Rights Mission (CFCR) leads our community to stand up for every child’s right to be safe, healthy and educated. We do that through individual advocacy, legal, representation and addressing broad, community wide issues through research and policy work.
The Council for Children’s Rights, formed through the 2006 merger of the former Council for Children and the former Children’s Law Center, is the one largest child advocacy and child legal services agencies of its kind in the Southeast.
Council for Children’s Rights has long been committed to serve the immediate needs of children in crisis. As a leading expert on children’s issues, Council also works for system reform and policies that address the long-term success and well-being of all children. The work we do daily on individual cases informs and directs the research, policy and education initiatives that we believe can lead to community-wide change.
We serve any child in Mecklenburg County who is in need of our assistance regardless of race, gender, ethnicity or socioeconomic status.
